Please note, as Llanerch Farm is located with outstanding views over the Dee Valley, the route to us is uphill, relatively steep (in places), and may not always be accessible if it snows. It’s not as foreboding as it sounds, though we are aware many of our guests are only used to town and city driving. It’s possible to virtually test out the entire route off the A5 to our door on Google Street View – and we’d encourage guests to do this in advance.
The most effective way to navigate to us is by typing “Llanerch Farm Froncysyllte” into Google Maps. This will get you straight to our door, whichever direction you’re approaching from.
If you want to use regular SatNav, type in our postcode LL20 7RS. This won’t quite get you to our door and will give our location as about half a mile short of where we actually are. Just continue up the hill until you see Llanerch Farm (the big white farmhouse with green metal barn) on your right.
We’d recommend turning up Cwmalis Road off the A5, as shown below, and avoiding the School Lane turning, as there’s a tricky hairpin bend to negotiate off the main road that way. The route to us shown on the map below is up single-lane roads with plenty of passing places. Click on this map to go straight to Google Maps:
Another way of reaching us takes you past Chirk Marina and Chirk Castle – this route is shown in blue on the map below (click on this map to go straight to Google Maps):
If you’re heading into/out of Llangollen from Llanerch Farm, there’s an additional, and very scenic, alternative route highlighted below, which you might like to try!
